Fun at Gymboree

Mama started taking me to Music classes at Gymboree over a month ago. Ms. Linda is my teacher and she is great. I love to look at her. We have had African music, Jazz and the next few weeks, we are doing some Disco dancing.

I love Gymboree and I can play at the Open Gym every Friday before my class. I have many new friends - a few girls that are quite pretty too.

A big breakfast before class

Happy Birthday to me

I turned Big 1 last Sunday. We had a family celebration at Lion City, Plano TX. This Saturday, we will have my 1st Touchdown Birthday Bash.

Papa took Friday off to make it a long weekend for me. Cousin Laynce spent the day with me on Friday. We went out Saturday evening to a friend's dinner and on Sunday (my actual birthday), Mama woke up very early to finish my home-made birthday cake.

Then, we went to church and more people wished me Happy Birthday. It's so nice that people around me made me feel so special.

I ate lots of noodles at Lion City and we ended with my birthday cake as dessert. Yummy!

All in all, it was a great day.

Hi Ho, Hi Ho, Off To Work I Go!

My mama and I makes a great team. We go to showings together. I do my part by staying as good as I can. If I didn't cry or become fussy, I'm Mama's angel. We also run errands together - we drop off earnest money checks at title companies, we visit Mama's realtor(r) friends at their offices, we visit clients just to make sure the houses we sold them are GREAT! We even meet our home inspectors at the end of the inspection. We clean houses for out-of-town sellers and we certainly make sure it's staged well. I think I will be able to stage a house for sale before I enter kindergarten - with the way Mama approach her listings, it's hard to ignore it.

Yes, I'm just shy of reading the Texas Real Estate contract because I don't know how to the letters apart yet. I'm learning my ABCs and 123s these days so that I will be able to help Mama write and type out contracts soon.

Every once a while, I catch an afternoon naps between appointments. Yes, life as an almost 1 year-old can be hectic.
Mama said I can't have a Texas Real Estate license until I am 18. So, I guess I'll have to settle for the assistant position for now!
This is me busy putting up our Real Estate sign. Yes, some day I will be taller than the sign.
I will be turning Big One this Sunday. So, please say a simple prayer for me. I want to be ALL God wants me to be.

" Thank YOU for being so good that Mama could take you to work. I love you, sweetie pie" - proud Mama

YouTube Hawg

This is how we spend our mornings and mealtimes. I watch YouTube and Papa called me the YouTube H.A.W.G. Mama created a special Playlist for me and we watch it for hours. I have my Barney and Elmo videos and my special praise worship songs.
After returning from China, I have been very interested in music. Mama bought me some baby musical instruments. We play it everyday. I love the maracas the most. It tastes goood!!!!

I'm really back now

After 2 weeks, I'm finally back - back at US time. Oh boy was it challenging to adjust my tiny body to jet lag. It sure was no fun. Mama and Papa are definitely no fun during this adjustment period too. I love to see them, so I greet them with my big smile. But they are not too happy to see me excited at 4am in the morning.

So, finally one day, Mama had enough. She just wouldn't let me nap at all. She took me to Ikea, then shopped more and more at stores I dont care about. I think I nap for about 2 hours that whole day. So, naturally I was tired at night (the real night!) and that was it. It only took me a day to get adjusted!!!

Mama and I are working hard these days. We have 2 contracts since we got back. So, this baby realtor is busy helping Mama by delivering contracts, getting houses ready to sell and of course, catching naps in between car rides. I love to help Mama. She is my best friend.
Now you see me awake....

Here I am catching up on my nap where and when I can!!!

More unseen photos of me in China!

Back to reality but brought jet lag with me

We have been home for a week now. But I am having serious jet lag. Papa is definitely not happy with me. I think it's because I sleep too much during the day. But I can't help it. And Mama needs to work too. So, my sleeping during the day helped her, but not my jet lag.

I usually start my day at 2:30am. That's when I get up. So, Mama gets up with me. She makes my breakfast at 4:00am and by 6:30am, I'm usually done with breakfast, watched my "Beijing welcomes you" song - ie my favorite song now, Barney and Elmo. I usually take my long nap (my night time) from 10am until 4 or 5pm - if Mama lets me. So, you see why I get up at 2:30am now?

Mama posted our China vacation pictures on facebook. It was super cool and I had Mama and Papa all to myself for the past 3 weeks. Now, back to reality and with jet lag. Here it is if you want to enjoy them.

Vacation Pictures 1st Half
Vacation Pictures 2nd Half

Yesterday, Mama took to me Ikea from 10:30am - 12:30pm. So, I missed my beauty sleep. I caught 2 short cat naps while driving to the store and back. Didn't really nap until 3pm - 5pm. So, last night, for the first time, I slept from 9pm until almost 7am with only 1 night feeding at 2:00am. Not bad, not bad at all... Mama and Papa hope that things will go well from here on out.
(Previewing stuff for my new bedroom at Ikea. Mama said that we will ask for Ikea gift cards instead of toys and clothes - which I have tons of!).

Enjoy my new favorite song, 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics, "Beijing Welcomes You".... How appropriate it was.

Having a great time on vacation

Mama, Daddy and I are having a great time in China. We left China on August 10th, spent a good week with my Granduncle Rui Wei in Toishan (my great grand father's birth place), another week in pictureques Guilin, and now in my Aunt Nicole's house in Dalian, North China. Our last stop is Beijing this Friday then I would be heading home soon.

My Grandpa and Grandma met us in Guangzhou too. I spent 2 weeks with them and they just left this morning. In 1 month, I'd get to see my Grandma again and my Grandpa will join us in early November.

Here is my new look: Mama calls me little Puyi - the last emperor of China.

I Miss My Grandpa But I Get To See Him Soon

It's been a week since my grandpa has gone back home to Malaysia..... I miss the sight of him watering the plants, cleaning the pond and just plain chilling out in the house. But I'm going to get to see him soon. Real soon.

Mama and Daddy are taking me to China to visit Grandpa's cousins and family. This time I get to see my Grandma too. We will have a good time, I'm sure.

I'm so cooooolllllll

I'm looking so cooooolllllllll these days! Yup, Mama went to the Mall to get me these cool shades. She's afraid that the sun is too bright for my eyes.

But guess what? I just love to take them out and slobber all over it.

You got to have one of these too.... if you wanna look cool just like me.

My Room Project

This is the collage that Mama intends to put up in my room since she has not completed a nursery for me yet. And I'm already 9 months old. Maybe it will be my 1st Year Birthday present.

Mama also saw some draperies at Target. Teal blue with a hint of light sage green in checkered box. Maybe she will get that. Mama reserves the right to change her mind. Daddy knows that.

Maybe Daddy can help me paint my room. Mama wants to paint a neutral color. She said she doesnt want to re-paint it later if she sells the house (lazy Mama!).

My first phone call

Guess what???? I managed to make my first phone call.....I got a hold of my daddy's blackberry and call 911. Daddy didn't even know until he heard someone talking on the phone. The 911 operator was kind enough to make sure everything was ok that he called me back.

Daddy told him that I was making the phone call....hehehe....I am so smart.

My First Crocs Look alike

Well, Mama went all over town to buy these crocs - look alike for me.... phew.... it was tough. You see, size 4 is not the easiest to find. We have the sizes 1-3 in navy blue at Target for $8.95, then it starts at size 5 again. We went to Sam Moon and they have the OU crocs but it seems like I'd probably have to wait till next summer for my feet to grow bigger first.

In the mean time, these will have to do. Of all places, Dillards carried them. It wasn't Walmart or even Babies r us. Can you believe that?
Now, Mama keeps going round and round asking if these are the cutest crocs you've ever seen?

Also, I had my first pool experience today. Daddy took me to the pool and let me splashed and kicked the water. I didn't get in though. Daddy didn't want me to get sick like my friend, Jack from the neighborhood.

Happy Father's Day

This year is my Daddy's first Father's Day. It was a pretty easy-going day for my Daddy. I woke my Daddy up and while he was calling my grandpa, I gave him his Father's Day gift. I gave him a digital photo frame so that he can see lots of me while he is at work. He is not sure if he wants to take it to work though. (What a bummer)...

Later, we went to church and joined the rest of the family at Maggiano's for lunch with my grandpa, my uncles and aunt and my cousin Laynce.

Daddy took a 2-hour afternoon nap with me and that was all that matters. I think he enjoyed his first quiet Father's Day.

Back to where I belong - Soonerland

Mama and Papa took me back to Soonerland - Norman, OK over the Memorial Day weekend. We all went in Aunt Laura and Uncle CJ's car. It was a fun family mini-vacation. Grandpa pushed me and my koko (big brother) BB Laynce around the Norman Campus.
My Grandpa in our double stroller.

Mama and Papa told me that this is where it all began. The place they met. It was really special that we got to take an unforgettable family portrait here.

My Laynce Koko (brother). I really look up to him. He is so smart. He can walk already....

My 1st Garage Sale

I had my first garage sale over the weekend. Mama sold many of the things I cannot use anymore. She also sold some of her home decor too! We were in the mode of selling stuff to fund more toys and stuff for me to use for my age.

The rest of the stuff we didn't sell, Mama plans to sell them in the Mom's Consignment Sale.

We made a whopping $40!!! I can buy alot of gently used stuff for $40 on Craigslist and other garage sales.

Fun at the park

Most days - if Mama and I dont have to work, we get to stroll near our house in my Vroom-Vroom car (my OU stroller) - that Mama insisted I must have. We walked twice a day whenever possible. Most of the time, we stop and play in the swings for a few minutes.

Here are some of my photos.... Look how happy I am.
