I guess I have alot to live up to since Mama and Daddy picked this name for me. Mama and Daddy's dreams is not for me to become a doctor or an attorney, but they pray that I would become all God wants me to be. That's their hope.
I had my first Christmas opening presents. I got a toy and a dvd that I love to watch and best of all I get to spend 2 whole weeks with mama and daddy playing. Guess what I gave my mama and daddy for Christmas?
I gave my mama and daddy a great gift that they will never forget.... I got up and started walking on Christmas eve. It was so fun! I can stand up and catch bubbles and oh yeah....I love bubbles. I can walk about 40 steps at a time. Mama and daddy was so thrill and happy with this gift...of course now they have to watch me more careful since I am still walking like a drunk man....hehe!
Mama started taking me to Music classes at Gymboree over a month ago. Ms. Linda is my teacher and she is great. I love to look at her. We have had African music, Jazz and the next few weeks, we are doing some Disco dancing.
I love Gymboree and I can play at the Open Gym every Friday before my class. I have many new friends - a few girls that are quite pretty too.
A big breakfast before class
Papa disco dancing with me at Gymboree Diving in a sea of maracus - my favorite musical instrument
I turned Big 1 last Sunday. We had a family celebration at Lion City, Plano TX. This Saturday, we will have my 1st Touchdown Birthday Bash.
Papa took Friday off to make it a long weekend for me. Cousin Laynce spent the day with me on Friday. We went out Saturday evening to a friend's dinner and on Sunday (my actual birthday), Mama woke up very early to finish my home-made birthday cake.
Then, we went to church and more people wished me Happy Birthday. It's so nice that people around me made me feel so special.
I ate lots of noodles at Lion City and we ended with my birthday cake as dessert. Yummy!
My mama and I makes a great team. We go to showings together. I do my part by staying as good as I can. If I didn't cry or become fussy, I'm Mama's angel. We also run errands together - we drop off earnest money checks at title companies, we visit Mama's realtor(r) friends at their offices, we visit clients just to make sure the houses we sold them are GREAT! We even meet our home inspectors at the end of the inspection. We clean houses for out-of-town sellers and we certainly make sure it's staged well. I think I will be able to stage a house for sale before I enter kindergarten - with the way Mama approach her listings, it's hard to ignore it.
Yes, I'm just shy of reading the Texas Real Estate contract because I don't know how to the letters apart yet. I'm learning my ABCs and 123s these days so that I will be able to help Mama write and type out contracts soon.
Every once a while, I catch an afternoon naps between appointments. Yes, life as an almost 1 year-old can be hectic.
Mama said I can't have a Texas Real Estate license until I am 18. So, I guess I'll have to settle for the assistant position for now!
This is me busy putting up our Real Estate sign. Yes, some day I will be taller than the sign.
I will be turning Big One this Sunday. So, please say a simple prayer for me. I want to be ALL God wants me to be.
" Thank YOU for being so good that Mama could take you to work. I love you, sweetie pie" - proud Mama
This is how we spend our mornings and mealtimes. I watch YouTube and Papa called me the YouTube H.A.W.G. Mama created a special Playlist for me and we watch it for hours. I have my Barney and Elmo videos and my special praise worship songs.
After returning from China, I have been very interested in music. Mama bought me some baby musical instruments. We play it everyday. I love the maracas the most. It tastes goood!!!!
After 2 weeks, I'm finally back - back at US time. Oh boy was it challenging to adjust my tiny body to jet lag. It sure was no fun. Mama and Papa are definitely no fun during this adjustment period too. I love to see them, so I greet them with my big smile. But they are not too happy to see me excited at 4am in the morning.
So, finally one day, Mama had enough. She just wouldn't let me nap at all. She took me to Ikea, then shopped more and more at stores I dont care about. I think I nap for about 2 hours that whole day. So, naturally I was tired at night (the real night!) and that was it. It only took me a day to get adjusted!!!
Mama and I are working hard these days. We have 2 contracts since we got back. So, this baby realtor is busy helping Mama by delivering contracts, getting houses ready to sell and of course, catching naps in between car rides. I love to help Mama. She is my best friend. Now you see me awake.... Here I am catching up on my nap where and when I can!!!
We have been home for a week now. But I am having serious jet lag. Papa is definitely not happy with me. I think it's because I sleep too much during the day. But I can't help it. And Mama needs to work too. So, my sleeping during the day helped her, but not my jet lag.
I usually start my day at 2:30am. That's when I get up. So, Mama gets up with me. She makes my breakfast at 4:00am and by 6:30am, I'm usually done with breakfast, watched my "Beijing welcomes you" song - ie my favorite song now, Barney and Elmo. I usually take my long nap (my night time) from 10am until 4 or 5pm - if Mama lets me. So, you see why I get up at 2:30am now?
Mama posted our China vacation pictures on facebook. It was super cool and I had Mama and Papa all to myself for the past 3 weeks. Now, back to reality and with jet lag. Here it is if you want to enjoy them.
Yesterday, Mama took to me Ikea from 10:30am - 12:30pm. So, I missed my beauty sleep. I caught 2 short cat naps while driving to the store and back. Didn't really nap until 3pm - 5pm. So, last night, for the first time, I slept from 9pm until almost 7am with only 1 night feeding at 2:00am. Not bad, not bad at all... Mama and Papa hope that things will go well from here on out. (Previewing stuff for my new bedroom at Ikea. Mama said that we will ask for Ikea gift cards instead of toys and clothes - which I have tons of!).
Enjoy my new favorite song, 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics, "Beijing Welcomes You".... How appropriate it was.
This blog is written in my voice - the little sunshine of Mama and Daddy Yeo.
I made the grand entrance on October 5th - at 37 weeks. I'm 15 months old now and growing.
